In our eggnog induced holiday haze, we seemed to have missed our call from Elon Musk to test drive the new 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport. Luckily, somebody (obviously more responsible than us) over at Winding Road did get the call—here’s what they have to say about this $120K slot car.

Well, there are only 2 things from Oklahoma—steers and Kandi Cocos—and I don’t see no horns, boy! Old army jokes not withstanding, if you’re from Oklahoma, this really is your lucky day. The $10,599 Chinese-built full electric Kandi Coco can be had for a mere $895 if you act now. See, the federal electric car tax credit drops the price by over $4K, and the Oklahoma resident tax credit of over $5K brings the price down to less than 900 bucks. Who cares if it only goes 35 mph for 1 hour? Check out Jalopnik’s take.

It may not replace the Honda Insight as the second most favored green vehicle on the road, but this full-electric cupcake car is fully customizable and has to be a blast to drive, right? It cost about the same as the Prius and Honda, about $25K, and gets much better mileage. But, the only dealer in town is Neiman Marcus. Hey, what do you want from us--it's electric and edible and therefore qualifies for this blog.
As we reported via spy shots and the bog-o-sphere early in the month, the Plug-In Prius is finally here. But this time, it’s Toyota themselves tooting the horn. Toyota’s letting 150 lucky leasers get hold of these ultra-fuel sippers here in the US, 600 worldwide. Check out the excitement here at The Detroit News.

Though not an actual hybrid, the upcoming Chevy Spark is a real green car at heart. Chevy plans two models for the Spark, one full electric and one little gas burner. And if you think about it, the average of the two models equals a hybrid, so it works here. Plus, the gas version gets a combined mileage of over 46 mpg, which pretty much qualifies it as the afore-mentioned green car. Expect it to cost around 10 grand when it hits North America in 2011. Check out this month’s issue of our favorite on-line auto magazine—Winding Road—for a full review (page 59).
