Meet the Buckeye Bullet, a student-built, 100% electric-powered land-speed streamliner from the Automotive Research Center at Ohio State University. Earlier this week, the Buckeye Bullet smashed the electric streamliner record at Bonneville at 291 mph.
The next day, they did it again with a tree-shaking 307 mph average (320 top speed). Alas, the team really tried to push it over the top yesterday when clutch carnage stalled their efforts. Stay tuned, these kids are proving that EV technology is most certainly here to stay.
