Fresh off the 2010 SEMA Show held in Las Vegas last week, we’re happy to report that hybrids, EVs and alternative-fuel vehicles of all sorts enjoyed a strong presence. From the vehicles that won the X-Prize to crazy experimental sports cars, it’s reassuring to see the green car movement is still on track and growing.
But the best alternative vehicle we saw is the $35,000 M55 Hybrid Bike. Yeah, you read that right, $35,000. It’s called, “The Beast,” and it’s made in Europe using the finest bicycle components available. The frame is a custom design, crafted from aluminum and carbon fiber, and the completed bike looks like it's straight out of a Philip K. Dick novel. If you have an extra 35K burning a hole in your green jeans, you can preorder yours here.
