It’s happening folks, as technology, manufacturing and distribution progress, consumer prices fall. A prime example is the recent partnership between Brammo, maker of the Enertia electric motorcycle, and BestBuy, seller of all things electric. When the partnership was announced, the Brammo Enertia’s base price dropped from $11,995 to $7,995! Couple that with a 10% rebate from Uncle Sam, and you’re commuting carbon free for just over 7 grand. Sometimes it seems like going green is only reserved for the rich and famous, but moves like this are a good sign of things to come for us cost-conscious tree huggers.
